Art & Design

Design a tapestry on a small piece of black hessian on the theme of "The Song of the World." This can also be an opportunity for Education for Sustainable Development through art.

Angers is famous for tapestries, especially "Le Chant du Monde" by Jean Lurcat.

This expresses the "Joy of Living" in bright colours on a black background. Use embroidery thread in yellow and other bright colours.

Angers is also proud of "The Apocalypse", one of the oldest, and certainly the biggest, medieval tapestries in the world.
