Listed below are useful websites that will give you sound advice on a wide variety of issues and hopefully should save you time in the long run. They are listed alphabetically with a quick thumbnail sketch as to their content.
The Fischer Family Trust will enable you to explore how the FFT data is used within a school setting. It also covers other aspects of school life eg ICT use in subject areas

NFER has an excellent web site if you are undertaking any form of research. It covers latest educational thinking and developments. It also covers testing of pupils
The remodelling site is a comprehensive site with all you need to know about remodelling and contains a useful frequently asked question section.
The Standards Site. As the name suggests this is a very factual, informative site that links you to other DfES documentation. If you type in trainees and NQT in the ‘pick a section’ box you will be led on to a useful site covering lesson plans and frequently asked questions mainly of a primary slant.
This site is primarily for English, Drama and Media Study teachers, primary to post 16. It offers a wide range of lesson plans and information – the majority of contributions are from serving teachers.
The Teacher Training Agency has an excellent web site that summarises and provides links to other excellent web sites. It lists with thumbnail sketches the following sites:

  www.teachersupport.info – this site aims to answer your questions and gives very full answers on most topics. It also provides a confidential help line.

  www.deafsign.com a useful site with regard to signing resources on many different levels
  www.ncsl.org.uk a useful site to find out about school leadership
  www.gtce.org.uk home site for the General Teaching Council
