About Wigan Forum for Learning and Research in Education

The Wigan forum for Learning and Research in Education has been established to encourage a culture of research in schools. The aim of this on-line forum is to enable teachers and support staff who are engaged in classroom based research to share their findings with others in the area.  The overall aims of the Forum are as follows:

• To promote enquiry as a model for school improvement
• To encourage staff in schools to contribute to knowledge related to teaching and learning
• To promote research participation as form of CPD
• To assist in disseminating research findings
• To identify links with national research publications and enquiries
• To provide access to research in Wigan and beyond

Research articles will be posted here with a summary and the full article. If you wish to submit articles based on your own research please contact Neil Fazackerley at the PDC on 01942 767065 or by email n.fazackerley@wigan.gov.uk .  If you have submitted work for an MA or Foundation Degree you may wish to consider sharing it with others via this site.
